The National Museum of African American History and Culture plans for an exhibit of the historical campaign of President-elect Barack Obama. Although the museum is not scheduled to open until 2015, the museum’s founding director, Lonnie Bunch, decided to enter the collectibles market of Obama-bilia. Bunch and his staff salvaged items from Obama’s Virginia field office. These items included scripts, strategy boards, office signs, and lounge chairs. Bunch intends to create a personable recount of Obama’s triumphant course to the White House for the future museum.
